ADVANCED MATERIALS FOR ENERGY PRODUCTION AND STORAGE
We are a multidisciplinary research group, created in 2014, that studies, with diverse approaches, such as physics, chemistry or engineering, the different aspects of energy from a global point of view. We are interested in the production, storage, saving, distribution and integration of energy, with special emphasis on renewable energies and energy efficiency. You can access more detailed information about our research lines and scientific production on this site.
RESEARCH LINES
Proposal of universal methods for characterization and optimization of electrochromic technologies.
Electrochromism
Characterisation and optimisation of materials for electrochromic devices, with applications in visible range modulation, image generation or thermal control.
Photovoltaic Energy
Our focus is on different aspects of the technology, from the manufacture of cells and modules, to integration in buildings and the tracking and monitoring of installations.
Análisis de ciclo de vida
Life cycle analysis, regulated by the ISO 14040 and 14044 standards, has proven to be a valuable experimental tool for the development of a product or technology.
Climate and Renewable Energy
The energy sector currently accounts for more than two thirds of global greenhouse gas emissions.
Batteries
Our interests are focused on the study and development of batteries, especially metal/air batteries.
Hydrogen-Fuel Cell Production
New proton membrane designs for fuel cells. In particular, we focus our interest on open-cathode fuel cells (OC-PEMFC).
